I just read today in my local paper that the economy has claimed another manufacturer, Goetz Custome Sailboats. They are manufacturer of high tech carbon fiber boats including several America's Cup contenders as well as the current American entry in the Volvo Ocean Race, Puma Ocean Racing's Il Monstro.

They just completed a large factory here in Bristol RI in 2007 so they could build larger hulls. Article says that a cash squeeze brought on by a large cancelled order forced them into receivership.
