Posted - Apr 01 2012 : 10:42:04 I am down to my last few projects for the off season and I want to remove the Salon windows to clean and paint the frames. I also want to replace the weather stripping since marine growth is pretty nasty in the frames.
Anyone ever remove the glass and paint the frame? Anyone have a resource where to purchase the weather stripping?
I appreciate any suggestions!
Thanks! |

Posted - Apr 05 2012 : 15:04:54 I can see the same stuff, like green stuff that got in the area where the windows slides. Seems to like to attach itself to the carpet like material that pinches the windows. To clean them out (although not completely, but 90%) we used soap and water and scrubbed from the inside and outside. Also used a wet/dry vac to suck out the remaining stuff while wet. I don't have clue how to get the windows out though, so we just laid towels down to catch some of the water. |
