Boatfix, huh? Name sounds familiar..

Yes, Manteo for the past 2.5 years and probably until retirement, 8 years from now.

We spent the weekend in MHC not long ago.. Harker's Island?

Boat will be in Manteo, Marsh's Light Marina.

When you're in the neighborhood, let me know. Meeting a fellow RO is always a good excuse to get out of the house.

Now that I may be a boatowner again this weekend, I'll check BE more often.

Thanks, George. We've decided to buy the boat pending sea trial and survey results, of course.

Do you know of a good source for charts from Baltimore to Manteo, NC? Will probably run inside all the way, no reason to hurry. The boat has a Garmin color chartplotter, but still like to have a paper copy..

Thanks again everyone; Cindy was impressed with the quick, and knowledgeable, responses.

I just use the MapTech chartbooks. Before you buy them from Boatfix (best price), make sure they are in stock or you will go into back order hell, which happened to me a few years ago.

Are you in Manteo forever? Might be nice to meet some time, we are down the way in MHC but get up that way by boat and car. Where will the boat be?

I second Peter Hartoft. Did a thorough and excellent job. He usually does bigger boats than mine, but never made me feel like I was wasting his time or expertise. Top man.

Trojans are popular and many are in good condition. It all depends on the previous owner's maintenance and upkeep.
Good luck with the new boat.

Bill, it's a Trojan F-36 Sedan flybridge... they seem to have been a popular model, plenty to choose from..

For the engines (Detroit 8v92) I used Tom Hug of MR Power. Outstanding, an excellent mechanic and teacher. 410-274-7636
