Posted - May 27 2012 : 10:01:49 Well the Harley Superstar has actually been running very well since the repower with 454s. She is underpowered so I need to get the props tuned but.....starts right up, idles well, temps where they should be and even the genny and AC have been working!
My 76 year old Dad and I did a bunch of glassing work to shore up the gunnels (replaced rotted wood with foam core and glass from the underneath....nasty work) and removed the rail to tighten up the 20 year old screws and 5200.....so now we will focus on burning gas and using it....doing overnights and putsing around.
Nice to be boating again. Spent 1 hours on he ryesterday - crusied up to WPB and back (ocean there and ICWW back) - stopped to grill steaks and do some wine tasting and catch rays....nice.
To ALL a great long weekend - be safe out there.
