Posted - Aug 11 2012 : 08:47:29 Glad to hear it's working better for you Dave, I still think you need another 8D in parallel like we talked about on the phone and in the charger thread. A pair of 8D's with proper DC load management should power your boat for overnight moorings. Also since you still have wet cell batteries keep an eye on the battery electrolite. I would think if your existing batteries are still in good shape you haven't had to put much fluid in them if the charging system is up to speed with the temperature probe installed. Bill |

Posted - Aug 11 2012 : 07:34:14 Bill my charger has been working out great I have not had a low battery on this trip but tonight will be the first time I put it to the test I'll be spending a night on a mooring. |

Dave, that's why we go in early July - much less chance of fog.
I had mine pulled and that done on Tuesday Mike. The water in my slip has been anywhere from 90 to 95 degrees but then again we are running the AC units full time and the transponder has to be picking up some hull temperatures. I know my house battery bank has been 100 degrees to 110 degrees with no charge or discharge on the batteries. No I'm not having any discharge problems with my AGM's. Dave how is your charger working for you? This morning we had some real nasty weather but it is sunny right now but still hot and humid. The weather NEXRAD looks good for except for pop up thunderstorms which happen when the weather has been like it has this summer. Bill |

Does it hurt when you pee?
No but it hurt like hell scraping them off. |

The weather today was crappy the fog was pee soup the whole way from Block to Essex but the trip has been great sad that it is nearing it's end! |

Posted - Aug 07 2012 : 18:07:08 Maybe the warm water is why I and some of my dockmates have barnacles on fresh bottom paint. I scraped some off at Croton Point but I'll have to put it on the trailer to get the rest. |

Posted - Aug 07 2012 : 06:47:36 Pool was just right in Montauk :) today I'll head to Block I saw some guy in a bowrider waiting near the harbor I think Bob may be waiting to follow. The sound was so flat yesterday I would have made the trip in a bowrider myself. I hope it's as nice today! |
