1987 Wellcraft St. Tropez with dual crusader 454's. The Distributors are the point and condensor type. Has anyone had any luck in changing to some type of electronic dist? If so, what kind did you use and has the conversion be dependable?

Put Prestolites in in mine and 6 others in the marina. I've heard of no problems. You also replace the 6 volt coil with a 12 and get ride of the resister.
