Relatively new to the forum and my 2000 Carver Trojan Express 440 Hardtop. Loving the layout and space on it so far, not to mention the get-up and go that the twin Volvos give it. It's the 3 cabin, 2 head layout with wood floors.

Hey Everyone.. New to the forum just wanted to post a couple pics of the 2807 Riviera we (the old man and I) have been working on for a few years.. We actually bought her as a project and has evolved over the last couple years and still lots to go as we try to build our idea of a great smaller cruiser.. Last winter we built the custom hardtop from scratch..Not sure whats going to take place this winter but we have tossed around extending the rear deck above the aft cabin, maybe overhang it an extra 18" - 2' or so...Anyways glad to be aboard the forum and hope I can help out with some Riviera questions as we have gained a lot of info on this Carver as we have taken her apart.. Heres some pics..

We are in process of organizing all the pics as we have thousands of pictures of the project..

These boats are very nice looking thanks for sharing the pictures guys.
My BIL and SIL have been talking about purchasing a Carver for years (decades).
I have no idea why they haven't bought one yet. Perhaps I will send them a link to this site.

Captbc,
Love the insides of your Santego!!! Did the extra table come with your boat?? And the curtains on the side windows?? Our 1996 Santego 380 only came with one table and no curtains (just blinds) for the side windows??

Sorry I missed your question. It's funny it is the marina sculpture but it is 100 yards away from my boat, it just looks like it is on the rail. I never paid attention to it but it really looks like it is attached to my rail :-)

Hi SnakeBite, welcome to Boatered! We have a 1989 21' Montego. We have done a lot of work to it over the past few years. We boat primarily on the Ohio River around Cincinnati. We like Manhattan Harbor, but it has fallen on some hard times lately. Hopefully someone will buy it and fix it up soon.

Best of luck to you on your new boat, hopefully we will see you out on the river this summer.

SnakeBite Posted - Jan 07 2013 : 11:15:57
This one is a sunset at the bar. The Ludlow Bromley Yacht Club is just a giant tiki bar with boat slips attached right on the Ohio River, about six miles Southwest of Cincinnati. I bought the boat this summer and will begin the face-lift in Spring. Small, a little rough, but it's still a Carver!

Few of my 440 express. Own it for about 1.5 years and LOVE the boat, it's like a floating tank!

Hey, Folks! I'm new to the forum and to BoaterEd so I thought I would start off with a picture of my humble boat. I bought an old Carver 3257 Montego Express Cruiser last summer...upgraded from a pontoon boat. I've had ski boats, runabouts and pontoon boats and always wanted a boat I could sleep on. Ok, I tried sleeping on my pontoon boat after a dock-party but woke up on the back like a whino on a park bench. My boat neighbors encouraged a real sleep-aboard! Wow...what a change! We love it. It needs lots of cosmetic work but everything works and it has been wonderful to sleep on every weekend. I look forward to chatting with real Carver owners!
I now need to figure out how to post the picture!

Welcome aboard, Snakebite, from a fellow Montego owner. Lots of good info and discussion here.
Enjoy!

This is our 2nd Carver. Our first was a "Cheapie" 1977 28' Mariner that we had for a little over 2 years. We just bought this one and have yet to get it home but love it already! It's a 1988 3297.

Very intersting boat. The hardtop balances the design of this boat and makes it look less top heavy. We sold many 280 Expresses where I work, but never a hardtop...I like it alot!
Ken34 Posted - Jun 28 2010 : 18:51:58
Well I am a new Carver owner here.

Since the 1st of the year I have sold my 34 Silverton, pictured below tied to the new Carver, then owned a small runabout for all of a month, then purchased my first Carver.

I am VERY pleased with this boat.

'95 280 Express Hardtop with a 454 b3 package. I am very pleased with it thus far.

I have not had it in any real big water yet, but hope to run up into Lake Huron after this month ends.

I have owned many boats, and I REALLY like this one a lot!

I can see the entire boat from the helm of this center console, express bridge. This is my all-time favorite. It's no wonder Carver made this model for over 16 years.

Great shots all.

Here's our last Carver, sold to an RO who's disappeared from the board. One shot was in Cape Coral in a brand spanking new marina dry racked and the other was at the infamous BE Watch Hill weekend, 2004 perhaps? Admiral Lorna in the pass through.

Pay no attention to the Peter Max custom bottom paint....

It looks like after the boat being repaired for almost 8 months. It is only a couple weeks until (I think) it will be done.New port and a new name and with all the money should be a new boat.
Here is a picture from 08

There really can't be a better boat(yacht) made wirth so many different modeles over the years and so many still on the water makes me glad to have made such a good decision.

Welcome aboard, John.

The red x instead of pictures indicates that the pics cannot be found ... probably stored on your computer. In order to post them, you need to put them on a photo service like photobucket. Then you copy the URL for the image into your post. the image URL will be listed under the photo in your photobucket album.

It will look like this in the text of your post:
"[xMG]http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f81/misterb-3607/my%203607/c57ffee5.jpg[/xMG]" (without the quotes, and with IMG instead of xMG at the beginning & end)but will display the image.

Thanks Kenny!

I had the blue painted on and had the whole boat buffed and waxed. I'm in the middle of replacing the dash in a grey carbon fiber with white engraved lettering and new teleflex gauges. Did you notice the rear fender hatch covers? Had them made locally by a guy that made them for Carver back in the day. Removed the bad windscreen and installed s.s. hand rail. Inside she has the light blue colors with new white carpet. New drapes and tinted the glass. I didn't want to trust a one way valve, so the head has it's own fresh water tank and tank montiors on every tank. I also increased the size of the drain pipe and sump to the shower. No more standing smelly water. Central vac and new frig. to keep the admiral happy. (as you can see, she likes to drive)
