So far so good, MM has been repairing the engine oil leak as planned. just as I suspected, it was the rear main oil seal that was leaking. Good news is they do not have to pull out the engine to get to the seal, they just pulled the tranny back to exspose the seal. Should be all buttoned up next week.
Hopefully everything will go back together good as new. |

Glad to hear it. I wonder...was it the negative posts or the quelling of the negative posts that got Meridian off their collective dead arses.

Happy to report we got the boat back and all is well! Engines ran good, no leaks, and they even cleaned out the bilge and put new diapers in. Lets see how long we can run the boat before something else breaks! |

Glad to hear it OS! Make sure they clean the bottom of the bilge there before they move the transmission back. |

That engine is ruined. Being that I am fairly close to you, I will do you a favor and haul it off for you. :-)))
I hope they get it repaired the first time. My Volvo had a leak, it was the front timing chain cover. It was made of plastic and cracked at the pan gasket. I have the engine in about 1000 pieces in the garage right now. I missed Gasparila, can not find a machine shop that can acid wash the block and heads.....generally upset at the whole thing. Sorry for the rant, but it made me feel better. |
