As we wind our way through winter, looking forward to summer, I've been reviewing the charts and Google Earth and am plotting some trips I'd like to make this summer. Most of them will be weekend hops, but maybe one will be a longer trip.
Some of our stops are:
Little Washington NC
Edenton, NC
Manteo, NC
Waterside Norfolk VA
THe New Radison Marina in Hampton
A trip up the James River
A weekend in Yorktown
And if we really feel froggy: Cape Charles Va

What kind of trips do you have plans for?

will do.

I will certainly do that. Let me know if you plan a run up the James, I'll find a place in Portsmouth/Chesapeake to launch and meet you by middle ground light.

yep- just up the james in the pagan river. Being retired USCG you could get into the base marinas pretty cheap - norfolk/little creek/fort monroe.
I am in little creek. Let me know if you need anything local & give me a shout if you get up here brother.

Larry: We spend the night at Harbortown in Dania and head out the Port Everglades inlet. The last time I went was in 2001 with a group of 15 boatered ROs.

TCap: Are you talking about going up the Pagan river to Smithfield? Sounds like fun

Look at Smithfield, Va rb2rb2@gr5tgr5t8nm north of the Naval Base. We were going to do a weekend up there last year but work got in the way. (hopefully i'll have my priorites straight this year)

You gave me some ideas though.

Where will you leave to cross over to the Bimini's? Go with a group?
Shadowcruzr Posted - Mar 05 2010 : 06:13:35
I really want to go to Bimini this year, but with the house being under construction, I'm not sure I'll get the week off to go.

I think this is the year we try for the bahamas.

That's a really nice marina at Cape Charles
