I have two 454 7.4L Mercruisers in my Martinque. When I unscrew the fuel/water seperator to change it how much gas will spill out? Do I need a rag, towel, or a container?

-Thanks

Don't forget to use fresh/new gas to fill the new filter. I use a ziploc bag to take it off and also hold a small bucket under it to drop it into.

I have the 5.7 Mercruiser and I used a 1 gallon plastic pail under my filter when I was changing it, and I did have some fuel spill into the Pail...About 1/4 of a cup...

You may get more or even better solutions if you put this in Ask The Captain..ATC...
