Posted - May 03 2011 : 06:26:30 What's everyone up to? Who's in the water? Most of what's coming down the river here are just tree parts and off shore there's a metric buttload of floating stuff just waiting to tear off running gear. Mooring ball is in, trying to find a crane guy to put in the dock but the weather hasn't been great and I just can't seem to get going... Anyone else? |

Posted - May 04 2011 : 07:11:32 Counting these guys, my total count of river travellers past the house so far this season is now up to 10! They sure know how to have a good time.

This is almost the best weather we've seen this season. Last week I saw a couple of cruisers unwrapped and in the weter behind the Providence Hurricane Barrier. Lunch at the Hot Club was the unofficial start of the season.
And Ductboy - great Buddy quote - he's the best! |

Posted - May 03 2011 : 20:44:18 I was visiting Mom in R.I. over the Easter holiday. Almost every boat was still on the hard in Warwick and Newport.
Maybe fuel...Maybe waiting for the last freeze.....

Surprisingly few boats in the water around Watch Hill as of yet. |

Posted - May 03 2011 : 12:22:27 Launched 4/27/11, moved to my mooring ball 4/30/11 but I'm the only one in the mooring field.... Rather lonely I must say..
Come on in the waters fine. |
