What type of range can I expect from a 2001 signature 280 with twin volvo 270hp and at what rpm do you cruise at to get that range? Either running hours or nautical miles are fine.

I have a 2002 twin Volvo 4.3 MPI motors. I burn about 10 gph at 24-25 knots with a 116 gallon tank. More of course if running against tide or choppy water/wind.

I have 4.3 gxi's and just got back from ft lauderdale. I averaged 9 gallons an hour. Now most was cruising but I would say 25% were in no speed zones.
When I lived up north i could go from New Rochelle to Block Island 100 miles and have over a quarter tank left.

Jeffk, Marsij, I thank you for your replies. I have the 5.0 GXI's so I would assume they would not be as efficient as yours.

I dont think you would use that much more gas.
You should have great range. Nice boat and good luck!
