I'll be out of the loop for a few days.

It never rains it pours.

Neighbor goes to get a lung removed Monday. Cancer. Post surgery prognosis yet undetermined. Cancer had not spread to the lymph nodes.

Friend's father died 30 minutes ago. Cancer

Co-worker admitted to hospital from ER with breathing complications. Talked to her this morning. Sounded like she had pneumonia.

TIA

Talk to y'all when I get back.

They say trouble comes in 3's. By my count you've got your quota filled. We'll be thinking of your friends and you.

Yes things have gotten better.

Lung removal on neighbor was as much a success as removing a lung can be. NO spread to the nodes. She has a shunt (I think that is what it is called) placed and will undergo 4 chemo treatments as a preventive measure. I have not seen her personally, however, a co-worker keeps in touch with the family via their church, and I talk to the husband frequently. The family is taking no visitors out of fear of germs. As a layman, I do not completely understand the circumstance, however, I can respect the wishes.

The friend whose father died of cancer is doing as good as can be expected. I went through this with my Dad in 1984. It was difficult to see her crash and burn and is equally as difficult to know what she was going to experience over the next year. She is doing a lot better than I did in the same circumstance. I am very proud of her and envy the way she is holding her family together.

The co-worker had mild pneumonia (I didn't know there was such a thing) and is back at work. The upside is she curtailed her smoking a great deal. She is down to 1/2 pack per day from 2 packs....baby steps are better than no steps.

Yes indeed fellow RO's. January was a tough time. This is clearly evidenced by the fact I posted the OP in the help wanted area. Cranial / Rectal inversion.

Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers.

Y'all are the best!!!

DPM
