FORMULA OWNER’S RAFT-UP
September 18/19, 2010
Still Pond Creek (Inside)

Dear Formula Owner:
The two-day Formula Owner’s Raft-Up/Rendezvous is now confirmed over the weekend of September 18/19, 2010. This is intended to be a casual get-together, with all activities planned by consensus. While the Formula factory is not formally involved, they have volunteered to donate some Formula Gear giveaways and door prizes. To ensure that they send enough items, they will need to know how many attendees we expect no later than Monday, September 6.
You may attend for the entire duration, both days, one day, or even just a brief visit. An overnight stay in Still Pond Creek is optional, depending on your own boat’s capabilities and your interest.

We are now up to about 10 boats. mostly for Saturday the 18th. If you're interested, try to let us know by September 7th, so we can make sure that we have enough goodies from Formula.

It's a public spot, so there's only so much that can be done. I have not seen too many boats on Saturday mornings before 11:00 AM.

Definitely. Some may even be there Friday night! Check the threads listed above; I'm trying to coordinate a central list. So far, it's 13 boats and 33 people for Saturday, with four boats and 12 people staying the night...

I'd like to request that each boat handle their own beverage and main course needs for any meals, but bring a side dish or dessert to share with the other folks.

We can bring a lightweight badmiton-style net to set up is anyone is interested. I'm not sure how well it would hold up to a real-life volleyball, but a game could always be scared up with something a bit lighter. The water should be about 3 feet deep during the middle of the days.

If anyone has any other suggestions for activities or for ways to distrubute the Formula-supplied door prizes, please post them

LAST MINUTE INFORMATION

Here's some information on coming in. It's really pretty simple and safe as long as you pay attention to the green markers once you get in. You really DO want to be between them and the shoreline. I have not heard of anything less than 6' all the way in.
If you're nervous, give us a couple of blasts on the horn as you come around the corner. We'll hail you on VHF channel 69 to coach you in. We'll try to have a boat or two monitoring 69 at all times, but there's no guarantee.

My cellphone is pretty worthless in Still Pond, plus I'll be away from it most of the time. I can get text messages reasonably well, if not always on time: (610) 404-4963.
