Has anyone seen anything on the new 46 SC? I have seen a couple of advertisements but can not find anything on the Regal Site?

Is it the 44 SC renamed? Or a new model? Any articles or specs on it?

The specs are on the web site now but no pics as of yet. They show the 44sc as pics of the 42sc

I used to own a 2465. It has been rebranded to the 8542....or pick your numbers. There were rumblings a few years ago the go to an ISO standard of LWL. Guess they got paid off like the Nobel committee.

My boat originally was considered a 41' then was renamed the 4260, then 4460, then the 44SC now the 46 SC all on the same mold.

The only thing this does is give the marinas more money with things like bottom paint, hauling, blocking, slip fees etc. I pay 2$ more a foot than all the 4260's out there on everything I do. Now the 46 will have to do the same.

Why dont we just go back to the Hull length and call it even? I understand the whole LOA bit but as far as counting swim platform and pulpits that is not part of the liveable part of a boat. I dont paint the SP or the pulpit. Why should I have to pay for it?

Searay does the same. The new four fifty dancer says its a 45' but its smaller than the old 41 dancer. I guess maybe they feel they can charge more money for the boat if it listed as a larger boat? Maybe its a competitive thing between manufacturers? Maybe they dont feel they can compete with a 45' vs 42'? Maybe the consumer has caused this with one foot idis. Who know's

I LOVE the regal boats and particularly like the 40/42/44/now the 46 but really....Regal is taking renaming the same boat to a new level. How the same hull just a few years ago was named the 40 can now be called a 46 makes no sense?

i've been on the new 42/44/46 what ever they want to call it, at the last boat show in Fort Lauderdale. while the hull is still the same mold or essentially the same. the topside molds have been changed with several important upgrades. the deck in the cockpit is all on one level including the helm station. the helm is now higher and slightly forward so visibility over the bow has been fastly improved. the engine room appears huge with the added headroom and the lower profile IPS drives. the hardtop has a retractable roof section along with cockpit a/c and a closing door to enclose the cockpit.

alot of the layout below is essentially the same with some tweeking and additional storage in what used to be dead space.

all in all its not a redesign but some nice improvements to a generally good layout.
