It's that time of year again and I'm at a loss as to what to get the Captain. I don't buy electronics as I don't know enough about them. I'd like to buy something rather than get him a gift certificate to West Marine, Boat Fix, etc. Any suggestions for something nautically minded?

How about a maritime related print?

Here is one by Winslow Homer:

"No matter where you go, there you are." -- Buckaroo Bonzai
"There is nothing, absolutely nothing, half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats." - Kenneth Grahame

Why won't you buy him electronics?

What does he need/want for the boat?

I don't do the electronics thing because I know he wants certain features. I know he'd like to get a new radio, but hasn't looked at them yet to determine what he wants. He mentioned that he'd like binoculars and I've been looking at the Bushnell BSN137501. They seem to have all the bells and whistles that he'd be interested in.
