I had noticed that, Sailor's Haven also. I didn't realize they officially opened this early. It's early still but the forecast is promising for this weekend (on some weather sites at least), if my boat finally goes in the water Friday I may go out for a day at least this weekend, maybe Sailor's Haven.

Dave, Atlantique is an option also, that was a nice stop when we went there last fall. Let's see what the weather looks like as the week goes on and talk later in the week.

You got it.
I am sure Walter is itching for a run but Sailors may be tight for him!
Atlantique I know he has slips and it will be empty.

We also need some water in the bay after this past weekend!

Oh, BTW, I found what was hidden under the slip where Walter put his 34C.
Guy pulling out, hit it again.
It was a hose reel.
I saw it at low tide on Saturday night and fished it out.
It had the hose and all on it.
Imagine if that hose got caught on your prop!
Looks like the prop just took chunks out of it, probably did nothing to prop!

Tide is still low but not as extreme as Saturday. We're supposed to have some east wind from tonight through Thursday so that will hopefully bring up the bay level for the weekend. I'm scheduled to go in at 9am Friday now, if the weather still looks good I'll take the day off and get the boat cleaned up and start loading gear on it so I'll be ready for Saturday. Sailor's Haven has a handful of slips Walter can fit in, but Atlantique has more and I think there's at least one place at OB that will be open to eat at.

Hi Andy,

I was going to email you today and see what you're doing this weekend. I'll probably go to Atlantique if Dave and Walter are going, you should take a ride out also.

Giz loves Atlantique because he can run!
I got some grass fed burgers that I need to crack open and a new electric weber!

Hope I don't find those chairs with my prop!

Denise has a mandatory prom meeting for Kristyn on Saturday at 9am, Sunday we have Philips kids communion, not looking good for me. :(

I could go out Friday, go back Saturday Morning, come back after the meeting than leave early Sunday, Certainly would not suck to run the boat. Plan B is I need to do a ton of work on this new boat, so just may stay at the marina. There are lots of slips empty so why don't we just party at the AYC. Andy, John, come by there, I have slips for you.

I may be able to stay Saturday night, have to see what Daisy's schedule looks like.

Walter, how long is the Saturday morning meeting? Come after it if not too late. You need to run that boat! :) Honestly taking my boat to the AYC to hang out after finally getting it out of there from winter storage doesn't sound too appealing, would much rather take it for a run and get to one of the FI beaches if the weather is nice. From my house to the AYC my engines won't even warm up. If the forecast goes downhill I'll drive over to the AYC and hang out with you guys in the afternoon.

Mark, seems to be working, after starting to look iffy a couple days back with 25 knot wind gusts in the forecast, it's looking like a pretty nice weekend now :)

Daisy has to go into the office tomorrow so we're not going to be able to go to Atlantique then. My boat did go in the water this morning but I still have a lot of cleaning and loading of gear anyway. So I think tomorrow I'm just going to take a ride and run everything and make sure all is well, and concentrate on getting everything put back together and hopefully Sunday we'll get out for the day. If you guys end up hanging out at the AYC tomorrow instead of heading out let me know and I'll try to stop over. Went over to D dock when I picked up my car this afternoon but didn't see anyone around.

Guys , watch hill has limited electric . Buoys are all in . No goods things to report . No bulkhead repairs , no larger slips , no repairs to east side over look . The entrance shoaling is very bad . They did get the marsh mounted entrance lights replaced .

Very sad IMHO

John,
The buoys are in the right places at watch hill . They moved the marina entrance buoy alittle north as the bar at the entrance grew. All the bulk head along the entrance is shot . All that sand is going to end up u know where

Thanks Rob. I went to Sailor's Haven today for the afternoon, everything seemed fine there. The tide had dropped a bit before I headed out but there was still enough water at the entrance. The entrance buoys seem to be further out than I remember and a big gap between the last set and the marina but it was mostly 8' in that stretch. Before that the lowest I saw was 6'. The power stations on the outer dock where the big slips are were still wrapped in plastic. I can't plug in there anyway so didn't care. At 3pm no one there collecting money and no one picked up the phone earlier either and there are still signs up saying they are closed for the winter so maybe they didn't officially open this weekend.

I am in D14, Walter in D6.
Ride over was smooth, little fog.
Watch Hill channel was fine, was low tide and saw 4.1 near entrance as the low, I hugged port side coming in.
In slip I have 3 feet, so slips are low but that will blow out as season goes.
Lots of gnats this morning, but better now.
Water pressure seems weak.

No keel offset. I just checked depthfinder.
Showing 3' 4" in slip. I took by boat hook and measured water and it is pretty accurate, off my 2 inches under.
So I have 3'6" of water, I draft 39" and I am floating.
Tide is coming up.

It was pretty low tide when we pulled in.
If you hit it higher you will be fine.
I stayed on plane until the the 5mph buoy and saw over 5' thru most of channel.
Came off plane slow to avoid dig in.

I will provide a update later on slips, I heard dockmaster taking alot of reservations when I walked over to pay.
Right now we have 9 boats here.

I decided to call and make a reservation and come tonight. It's supposed to be foggy in the morning and low tide and I'm afraid if I wait till later and try to call I won't get a slip with the right power since there are so few and the weekend forecast looks good. I have D11. I'll probably get there pretty late.

We will keep a eye out for you.
I checked and D dock is over half full with reservations, but I suspect some people may sneak in after 9 because then you don't have to pay.
It's only $1.00 a foot tonight and tommorrow.

The fish traps are out and there are 2 strings cutting the North Channel at 2 spots, so watch out for them.
Gonna be dark tonight as I think there is no moon.
I think they were around Red "4"

Thanks. Yep, D15 and D16 where I usually go are already booked. When I first spoke to the guy I thought he was going to tell me there was nothing left, but I think he was trying to get it as close to my beam as possible and save the wider slips. The problem is with the 50/220 power on my boat there are only 10 slips I can use if I want to plug in. BTW, I noticed the website now says reservations are good till 10pm, used to be 9, right?

Thanks, I'll keep an out for the traps, I'll probably have the bay pretty much to myself on a Weds night this early in the season so will use the spotlight if necessary.

Now I have to do a mad scramble to get everything ready, thought I had all night!

D15 only has 1 phase, I have to tell them in the morning as he left.
Still slips, no rush.

Yes, it's 10 now but not sure how you know. So if you come over at 9 then how do you know what slips are reserved.

Were they all moved out or some of them? I was in D11 and that was the slip where it transitioned from the further out poles to the closer ones and I had to poles on the west side. Couldn't remember if that was always the case or only the first 6 or so used to be like that.

Nice trip, great to see everyone. You all missed the nicest day though, Monday was beautiful and by afternoon I pretty much had D dock to myself!
