Last Saturday the new owner of my Silverton brought his new to him boat home. He took it from Long Island to RI. The new owner is a real nice guy and I did everything possible to help him and get him comfortable with the boat.

I get a PM from ITK (fellow RO here), he saw my boat berthed in his neck of the woods (RI), how cool is that.

Did you tell the new owner how much she lists to port??? ;)

I just listed 2 new boats on Lake Allatoona that I used to be on when we first started really boating. My old Cruisers 3372 is still there on the same dock as the 2 boats I just listed- she is even still in the same slip. Felt very funny seeing her and walking around her- sure brought back a lot of memories. :)

Thats pretty cool!!

I remember when I was younger riding around with my father in the car. We were on a bridge, looked over and saw his his old 43' Viking. I thought it was the coolest thing. Since then, ive tracked it and its currently for sale in Rhode Island.

A few years back him and I were looking at a 29 Formula PC all the way out east in the hamptons, we made the wrong turn, and boom right there in front of us was his old Viking again on the hard..Seeing his face was priceless, its like seeing an old girlfriend

I know where all my kids are. The family's 23' 1940 Chris Craft barrel back went to Buffalo, then to Sweden, and now is back in NC all rebuilt. What an elated feeling it was when I recognized her at a show in Florida after almost 3 decades. Even more so when I had a two hour and got to drive her like old times. Our 32' 1923 one off a kind gentlemen's runabout went to Lake George and has now returned to its former home in the Thousand Islands. It's getting the WWI 1916 Liberty aircraft engine rebuilt for the umpteenth time. My 16' 1934 Garwood Speedster replica is still in the Muskokas where she went when the guy I sold it to sold it. Sadly, the family's one of a kind Fitzgerald & Lee 1930 27' double cockpit fishing boat is gutted at a restoration shop in Massachusetts looking for a good home.

Boats, cars, women, houses, etc.. Once I'm done with them I never look back. I always figured I was moving on for good reason.

Ha Ha, problem is I am never done with them :)
I usually move on because I can. :) not because they were bad or a problem.

Plus, with me. I want what I don't have, and don't want what I have till I don't have it :)

Another happy ending.

I found my old Carver on CL and it didn't look too great_it was tempting to buy it for 1/2 the price I sold it for by the buyer's ex wife. A little bird told me better, well, the admiral actually.

When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down "happy." They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~John Lennon
