The PO had a Motosat Mate Saltellite dish installed. I never found a DSS receiver or antenna positioner which I believe are part of the complete system.

The dish is cerca 1998 and it probably was for tv as opposed to internet. Would the dish alone have any decent resale value or is it too old school?

I have one of these also that I removed. Yes it was for TV. There should be a control box separate from the DSS reciever. The control box was missing when I got the boat. Pretty pricy to get a new box. I replaced it with a Wingard Mini-Max. So far been working well. If anyone is interested in the Motosat dish Post up.

Yeah I took mine off too. I am going to reinstall the original masthead light that was removed to install the dish. Motosat is based in SLC (20 miles from me in Park City) but was no help. In fact, when i called a young woman said they don't even make a satellite dish for marine applications! Maybe she was only around 5 years old when they made this one.

Next time I am at the boat, I will follow the wires and look for the control box or according to the manual the Sharp Trac Antenna Postioner which may be hiding somewhere.

Been to Park City 3 times skiing. Great Place. I was able to jump connectors and put power to the dish. It would unfold and turn. Briefly considered putting it switches and trying to use it as a manually aimed dish but just decided to replace it instead
