Since I got the news that my outboard is blown, I am looking for a re manufactured power head. I love the 90 degree loopers, and cant imagine owning any other kind of outboard.

The mid and lower is in mint shape, so I am looking at just getting the powerhead.

Ive called around and some places do not offer extended warranties, and some do.

Anyone have any success with a certain outboard reman dealer??

I dont know of any manufacturers but there is always a guy on NY craigslist selling the omc v4's. He lives in lindenhurst. I never bought an engine from him but did buy some used parts. Picked his brain a few times too. I dont know if he rebuilds or what but he is always selling some clean looking motors. Sorry to hear about yours but those v4's are pretty bulletproof.

this is one of his ads with his number. maybe he has something . i did trade him some stuff too, so he likes to haggle.

Yeah, ive seen his posts before. Not really interested in dealing with people from craigslist when it comes to buying a motor.

You don't say what brand but I did a quick search and came up with a bunch of rebuilders. This one seemed to have what your looking for www.boatpartstore.com. Take a look they seem to cover all the bases but if not just search outboard motor power head rebuilders.
