I just moved to Lake Elmo a few weeks ago. My boat is in Bayport Marina on the St Croix.
While I have everyone’s attention, I have a few questions:
1. Does anyone know of any upholster in the Stillwater area. My headliner has falling. A certain little boy kept putting his feet up there.
2. How deep does the water usually run and will a Danforth work OK? I have 200 feet of rode. Is this enough? I have another 300 feet of backup if needed.
3. Does TowBoat US service the area?

Welcome!
When I was having headliner issues I was sent to the local airports. Upholster's just didn't do headliners.
I have used Powell for some small items, 651-430-1470...good guy...he's in Oak Park Heights, but I don't think he'll do what you need.
Water depth is all over the place....200' of rode should be fine for the areas you will anchor, and a Danforth should work well.

Welcome Wayne! I'm at the Boomsite north of Stillwater. I've heard of Powell's upholstery as a recommendation, but I tried to contact then once and they didn't return my call, so good luck.
200' is what I have I believe, and never been an issue. I never anchor in more than 20' of water, though there are parts of the river that are over 75' deep, but you can quickly get to much shallower water.
I don't believe TowBoat US is up here, I think the closest one is in Red Wing but I may be mistaken. What I've heard is that if you need a tow, you can still call them and they'll make an arrangement with someone else to do it, but again, I've (thankfully) never needed it so I'm not positive.
Welcome to the area and I hope to meet you. A friend of mine is planning a raftup in Hudson on July 21st starting at 2pm, maybe you can swing by if you have the chance.
I've used both Danforth and Delta and have settled on the Delta as my favorite, but either should work well for you.
Hope you enjoy boating the area, beautiful river and lots of things to do!

Thanks for the welcome...guys
I will try Powells. I really do not want to do a headliner. I have seen a replacement job documented from start to finish on a Crownline board, and it looks like a royal PIA.
I am not putting my boat in this year as I do not have the time for it as I am still dealing with the move. I did put my jetski in last weekend. I could not believe how warm the water was. I also expected some calmer water as the wind was out of the west, but there seem to be more traffic than I have seen before on the river. I guess holiday weekends tend to do that
I am convinced that my family will love being on the water here. It is still calmer, has less traffic and is less hectic than we are used to in NJ
