At the number of boaters that are boating in this snot today ! I must say I was calling them all kinds of names but they all docked their boats with out incident so far

I think I know my way around my boat pretty damn good but in this slop I know my ass would still be at the dock

Small crafts up until tomorrow afternoon. I would be at the dock too.

Still...would rather be at the dock than at my desk.

Agree!! I'm at westhampton village marina. A prisoner in my cabin. I left LIYC yesterday morn at 10 AM. Tricky gettin by the moriches at low tide but I'm glad I didn't wait till today. I would rather be here and be set for the weekend than be home sayin "I should have".

Haven't been down to check on the boat yet today. I'll have to try to get there some time tonight. Saw some crazy wind coming out of the east this morning. All should be well though.

I was down at the dock at about 8:30 tonight and the bay was as smooth as glass.

How's the ocean if you can see it?

I'll be out after 8am this morning and am out of Shinnecock. Probably stuck in the bay with the small boat advisory...

Thats how I learned how to dock at a marina. Go out on a real snotty day, when the wind is kicking, and no one is around. I like challenges like that, thats why Ill go out whenever I feel like it.

When docking with wind like thats whats the worst thing that can happen? You scuff your rub rail up a little bit...?

Or scuff up someone else's boat. I've seen that happen more than I'd like.

Should have been clearer, go to a non crowded marina or an empty marine.
