I have a Silverton 351C with twin 350's and Hurth transmission and Vdrive. I have a bad transmission is it possible to take out Transmission with out a haul out and prop shaft removal?

You can unbolt the prop shaft from the v-drive so that means that you can continue the removal project in the water. Nothing will leak when the transmission is removed.

To remove the transmission, you are probably going to have to haul out both the transmission and v-drive as a single piece and separate them when they are out. Together, they weigh about 300 lbs so you are going to have to rig up something to lift them or have several very strong friends. I've seen it done both ways.

Good luck.
