Left my dock at about 6:15 tonight to drop the boat off at the boatyard so they can haul it tomorrow.
I canít ever remember seeing the tide so low. I guess the winds the last day or so must have kept all the water out of the bay.

Impossible. There can be no super low tides. Have you not heard that the sea level is rising?

And you are imagining temperatures below normal since that is against the global warming narrative.

Time of the year JVM, always seen this, this time of the year. I remember, late November 2003, I was bringing my 290 Searay Amberjack to SIYS from Lindenhurst to Freeport and barely made it through the Lindenhurst cut with motors trimmed all the way up.

And always remember, life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by those moments that take our breath away.

In my area, ( not LI ), this is the season for very low tides. It was not an uncommon sight to see boats flying through, past the slips, on a full plane, so that they could "cross over the bar" that would, at those times, block the marina entrance.

Interesting time.

Lol, that was my first thought when I got out of the car and was approaching the boat.

Guess I never really noticed it before because I always pulled my old boat around Halloween.
It was a little scarey in the dark with no moonlight and the really low tide.
My old boat got blocked up on my property so scheduling when to go back in was never a problem. All I had to do was make an appointment with the boat hauler.
This one is at a boatyard for the winter and I wanted to make sure I can get back in by mid April so I stayed in a little longer so I wouldnít be packed in the back.
