carver 360 sport sedan, port engine muffler developed a crack at the bottom where it hit the
support bracket.

Is this a standard fiberglass repair (sand,mesh,resin,paint) or is something special (non-flammable) required?

Best way is to remove it to see the complete crack and not the part thats leaking . But Yes, simple fiberglass repair, sand, clean with acetone, apply glass material, apply resin or epoxy.
