I have a 1981 Chris Craft Catalina 35 aft cabin. A mechanic with sticky fingers departed with my original manual for the Marine Onan 6.5 kw water cooled generator, which I would like to replace. After much searching, contacting of vendors I finally found a distributer who ordered one for me from the Cummins publishing company. Lo and behold after paying $39.95, I received a manual for the generator part only. That is no info about the motor, piping, assemblies, parts, etc etc as I had in the original manual. After hours of being on hold, etc., I finally found that the original manual was no longer available!!!! DUUHHHHH. Would anyone sell me one or sell me a copy or offer me a downloadable manual. It would be much appreciated. Thank in advance!

I'll take you up on that. I'm a new member and cannot send you an email yet. As soon as I can I'll send you my address etc. and will be happy to pay your costs at the least.

I would be interested in those files too! I have 1981 Egg Harbor with the same genny and I have no information for my Onan. I have not been able to find any manuals.

I am trying to download the files but they seem to be stuck. Has anyone else had problems trying to download these files?

I too thought it was hung up, but a call came in and when I was done the file was open. Tried same with the other file and it just takes a very long time to open - but it works.

Not a very good service manual, doesn't even have an electrical schematic! Any reason why, when this thing finally dies, I shouldn't stick a nice Honda in there at less money than fixing the old Onan?
