I have been using Mequires Vinyl Cleaner but I have not been happy with it. Has anyone used another product that they are happy with. The vinyl is not dirty just no longer as white as it had been. Any alternatives or suggestions would be appreciated

While I can't offer any advice on which cleaner to use, I will scrub the vinyl with a soft toothbrush along with a cleaner.

Al, are you using Maguires #39 or #40? I use 39 with a small nylon scrub brush and am amazed at the results everytime. #40, while called a cleaner/protector seems to be more protector than cleaner to me.

I have always had good luck with Aurora and Malco products. Great results with both. It all depends on price and availability.

+1 on the Aurora (Boat Clean does a nice job on Vinyl). I'll have to check out Malco products. Please PM or e-mail me more info Dave.

409 and a toothbrush does wonders! I got that tip from a detail guy and I haven't found anything that works like this does!

In my casual comparisons, Marine Spray Nine seems to work better than any other normal spray cleaners. That's the "Marine" version of the product. Don't ask what the difference is, but it works better.

Marine Spray nine is great to clean up greasy hands and greasy engine room too.

Al, get #39 and a nylon brush. You won't believe how good the results are.

When you are done with all the scrubbing, wash them down good with de-greaser one more time and then spray them with white vinyl dye/paint.
They will look brand new.

Dancer Dove is right-buy the Magic Erasers and a little water-works great!

I keep mine like new just with Magic Erasers and water. Then apply 303 for protection.
