I have 2001 Cursaders, EFI, etc. They have an on-board diagnostic system that Al used to scan for engine codes. I'm wondering if this is the same standard used in the automotive industry (OBD-II).

Would anyone know the answer?

Al, were you using an OBD-II scanner when you did the survey? If so, I have one...if not, do you know the protocol.

I don't think it is the same. Google Rinda for a look at the options.
 
What surprise said. It's going to be Rinda. I looked into it when I had my 2000 Pleasurecraft. There is a lot of data you can get from that engine, but Rinda is not cheap like the $35 code readers.
 
Hi Chris, I have a Rinda diagnostic scanner. OBD-II reader will not work. The ADL connector is completely different. If you need your boat engines scanned just let me know. Id be more then happy to do it for you. Hope all is well.. Al
 
Thanks for the offer Al. No problems to speak of, I was just curious if my current reader would work....guess not.
