I have a new 3360 Windows Express which we love. But I wanted to know if anyone has had issues with the switch panel in the rear cockpit area for the Arch Lights/Engine Hatch/Bilge Lights? I find that you can to easily flip these switches into the on position accidentally way to often when tying lines, bringing items aboard, working at the wet bar...etc. I think regal should have recessed these switches or at the very least provided lockout switches. I'm thinking of mounting a small hinged flip-up enclosure or a cut-off toggle switch (if they are in series)to solve the problem. I welcome any other ideas.

Hi Eric,

I'd try to touch base with PleasureTime on this forum... Tom and a few others have the new 3360 and should be able to best comment...

PT, are you out there???
Regards,

Hi Eric, yes that was a real pain, you couldn't even lean over to secure a fender without bumping one or more of the switches. I solved the problem by installing a cabinet handle (from Home Depot) across the whole assembly of switches, it provides a sheild over the assembly and works great. The handle looks like a miniature version of the one on the port side of the entry leading down into the cabin and only cost about $8 or $9 dollars. I'll be happy to post a picture of it if you like. I bought two of them, one to cover the remote radio controls on the port side as well. It's only happened once but when the radio volume suddenly goes wide open, as it did for my wife, it tends to get everyone’s attention. That one's not installed yet.

I have the same problem with my 3060. Thanks Pleasuretime, I will try your solution.

We had the same problem with our 3060 until I went to HD and got one of the in use covers for an outside outlet. I cut out the bottom panel and it fit over the switches. It was embarassing at first to be in a raft up and as people were walking across the swim platform, it would raise up. If I can find some pics of the installation, I will post them.

Thanks Tom, sounds like a handy and inexpensive way to solve the problem. A picture would be very helpful. Can I assume the material used was stainless steel. I have yet to have any issues with the stereo controls on the opposite side but will consider the same remedy.

Sorry for the delay Eric, finally got a pic to post. The material is not stainless steel but a cabinet grade of some sort, all of my boating is in fresh water so I decided to go ahead and try it, I did fasten it with stainless steel bolts however. Hope this helps!!!

Thanks Tom for the pictures its a great help and no worries about the delay. Because I'm in salt water I'm going to go with stainless but use your remedy. Thanks again
