Any idea how to clean a 6 inch wide black vinul stripe above the water line? It looks dull and full of water stains. I tried accetone and water and soap but no luck ....

Use buff Magic on a rotary buffer. Slower speed and keep it moving.

I would keep acetone away from any vinyl. It will dissolve pvc if left in contact too long.
I would use polishing compound & if that's not adequate move up to rubbing compound.
I feel Collinite Fiberglass cleaner is the "BEST" product for cleaning fiberglass. I also use it on my vinyl products.

you can remove the mineral deposits with "FSR" its is phosphoric acid i believe, and won't harm the gel coat or take all the skin off your hands like some stronger acids. if the vinyl itself is shot there's not much apart from wax that will help bring it back.

Wax doesn't clean at all. Just like Collinite paste wax....best wax made but does "NOT" clean. Will just make dirty surface shiney !!

Tried compound and waxes they dont work, i will try some light duty acid first chance i get Thanx
