My tachometer is stuck at 3500 rpm ? Anyone have experience with fixing this ? Boat is 2 years old, I doubt Regal warranty will cover it...
Thanks in Advance.

Quite common. Give it the "Faria Rap" (smack it pretty hard) Mine floats 500-1000 rpm's occasionally. Someday they'll figure out how to make a decent tach!

Faria gauges have a limited lifetime warranty. Our boat is 4 years old and they are still replacing the gauges free of charge. Someday I'm hoping to get 2 that actually work for more than a week or so.

Keep in mind I do the replacement but the new gauge is free directly from Faria. Their customer service is very good.

You can try to clean the contacts (contact cleaner spray) of the cylinder selection rotating switch, on the gauge back side . Rotate the switch several time and set it back to 8 cylinder selection (I think it's number 3, but it is writen on the gauge). I had erratic readings last year and this solved the problem.
