i am considering this run this weekend. will be my first time. they are predicting 2 -4 foot waves. will the trip still be comfortable. 1999 cruisers 3075

where are they predicting the 2-4 waves, how far are they spaced? 2-4 chop sucks and will be a long uncomfortable ride. 2-4 swells no problem.

2-4 in the delaware bay against the tide will also uncomfortable.

if on the beam while off shore, it shouldnt be too bad... now the lower delaware can be really rough with northerly winds opposing the tide. you get these short and steep waves...

I can't tell you whether those conditions will be comfortable for you and your boat, having never been with you and your crew on that boat. Perhaps some locals with similar boats will chime in. Those seas work fine for me on my stabilized Hatt, which is irrelevant to your boat' we've been up and down NJ/Del Bay a few times. One thing you will want to do is try and time your transits of Del Bay to slack or early flood tide (which will cost you some time coming back. Winds are forecast from the south 10-15, and even those relatively ok speeds will set some not fun chop on ebb tide.
