Has anyone taken a trip, by boat, to the seaport museum in Tuckerton? Is it worth the trip and do we need reservations? Thanks for your input.

Do they have my nuts on display?
If they don't....they should!
Perhaps I will donate them.

Your nuts are broken........why would they want them on display ???

Very small, I do not recommend. On a further note its not worth navigating these extreemly tight waters, it could cost you big time.
I suggest getting a slip on LBI, maybee Beach Haven marina or Morrisons. You can walk to the beach and all the attractions.
Theres nothing in Tuckerton but wind and greenhead flys.

............and Daves nuts !!!

Also No-see-um's sand like feas that bite like heck when we have no wind. I can help get you in from the Ocean or ICW into Tuckerton Creek safetly. We call it a walk through the sticks the only problem is there are only about 3 sticks out of 30 left marking the ditch from the Bay into Tuckerton Creek. We are on the boat most Thursday afterrnoon through Monday's. Drop me an e-mail I can safetly get you around here. You can hail me on 16 "Wireless One". I got Dave "Currentsea" and Walter out of here and they were fine until we left them out on the Ocean.

To answer your questions you don't need reservations but you can not dock there overnight. They have different events most weekends. The water in the creek is from 4 to 9 feet actually better than through the sticks. I would recommend coming in on an incoming tide so you can get out if your draw more than 3.5 feet of water.

Sounds more like a car trip. Not worth the trouble trying to convince the capt to go. Thanks all!

My wife calls that the erection it's one of the few markers left where you enter the ditch out of the back bay heading towards many small islands and marshes.

A car trip would be safer especially if you don't have local knowledge. It's a tough place to boat if you have a medium to large boat. Then you also have to dodge about 50 boats fishing in the channels the 1st 2 miles in from the bay. Enter the inlet from the Atlantic City side and hug the Marsh this is against all charts but it is the safest route in the north side of the inlet has shoaling almost 3 miles 2 out in the ocean and 1 mile right through the ICW.
