Well, they finally made it, after waiting out horrible weather in the Chesapeake, a nasty storm Friday night at south Jersey, Harlan and Lil made it to Bowline!

We had them raft up with us, Starry Night and Fish Tale and BBQ'd and shot the breeze. Took them back to my marina where they are safely secured for the night.

We had a great time meeting them and wish them the best on their journey north.

We really enjoyed the raft up, swim and great food with our 'new' New York friends. We enjoy meeting our Boater Ed friends and their families. All boaters seem to have a common interest and camaraderie that is truly unique. Thank you for making us feel so welcome. Thank you for all the phone calls, help and advice in making our trip so enjoyable. We only can hope you know how much it has meant to us to be able to call upon you. Thanks, Harlan & Lil.

It was a pleasure meeting you yesterday! Enjoy the rest of your trip. Unfortunately today looks like another crappy travel day hopefully the rain will stop early enough for you to make headway on your trip.

BTW I want my $100 I watch you drink a beer you didn't buy from me:)

Be safe and have fun!

Glad to hear everything went a bit smoother
el-norte, Harlan. Within 5 minutes of meeting Harlan's boat on the ICW on the way in and while docking we had the nastiest Thunder & lightning storms I have ever been caught out in. These storms were really packing a punch and lasted for hours one after the other.
We also had a great time with Harlan and Lil down here at campground marina in Tuckerton!
Today the winds are really blowing again down here but it looks like the rain is gone from last night.

Bill the rains are not gone you just sent them our way, Thanks.

Bill,
We like the rain in NY better than NJ.:-) Even with the thunder storm, it was well worth it to meet you guys.

Audrey,
The pleasure was ours in meeting you. I think we will probably stay here for the day and relax and catch up on some chores. Maybe we just need to get together and drink up that $100.00 worth of beer. We really enjoyed meeting all of you and your hospitality.

Harlan,
The cloud to water lightning all around us on the way in through the shallow channel is what I didn't like.
The wind was a close second when docking.
I'm glad you, Lil and Greta made a safe trip up there to meet the Hudson group!
Bill & Jan

Harlan has a good stash of whiskey on his boat. Don't let him drink all your beer.

Harlan, it was a pleasure meeting you last night at the marina. Wish we were doing the trip with you. Hope you have a great time and no more storms. Enjoy!!!

He shared a glass of it with me last night, I might become a bourbon drinker!

I only drink Gin I have been through about a gallon so far this season not sure where it all went, I know I didn't drink it all. Bill was nice and restocked my bar for my birthday and he doesn't even drink gin.

Dave that is because it was your birthday not mine.... See how fast you can empty that one....

Harlan and Lil, have a great time. We wish we could be there with you. But, alas, we are stuck here in the sunny South. It was only 100 degrees today.

I wonder where Harlan, Lil and Greata are tonight?
It sounds like they are just taking their time and enjoying themselves.
I like the name of their boat Two to Go!
Great people.
Bill
