Is this possible? I was talking with someone at West Marine and he said when he tried this on his boat he was getting aberant messages and that it wouldn't work.
I would like to mount one gps bracket on my flybridge and one inside so that I could take my receiver to either location depending on where I am driving. I thought I could just splice the data feed for the transducer to the two different helms, but maybe not? Has anyone done this with any success? Do I really need two transducers to make this work?
The salesman at West Marine, said I would need some sort of a Black Box switching device to be able to pump up the signal to make this work? I don't understand why this wouldn't work?! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
thanks!
