I have recently purchased the above boat. I am wondering what RPM's I should run at with the twin 454 Crusader engines.

Are you sure you have big blocks and not the small blocks? My brother in law had a 78 with small block crussaders and it flew like the wind. Can't see any reason why they would put big blocks in that model. In any case, 3000-3200 RPM seems to be the sweet spot for most crusaders regardless of displacement.
 
I agree with cmariner32's rpm...and his question about the big blocks...I didn't think Carver ever put 454s into that hull.
 
I was up at the boat last weekend and got out hte original owners manual and you were both correct. It actually has twin 350's GM.
Would this affect your input on performance?
