Hey folks!! Just "anchored" here like the rest for the moment. Restoring a Commodore 290 and converting to twin diesels. Need an owners packet(that loose leafed assortment of info sheets that passed for an owners manual) for a 1990 Commodore 290. Anyone help me out here? I'd be willing to pay for scanned or copied sheets from someone. Thanks!
 
Did you try asking Regal customer support? I know many have been able to get the manual from them but not sure about your boat.

Would love to hear more about your repower thou.
 
Replacing the 5.7 gas engines with GM 6.5 turbo diesels and fuelling them with biodiesel. The 6.5 bolts up to the small block pattern on the stern drive.
 
Hi Your repower Idea has a lot of merit but what is the weight difference between the gas and diesel engines. And what out drives are you using ? I have a 1992 290 and I'll and see if I have the manual JTS
 
Roughly 250 lbs per engine. I have the original Duoprop 290 outdrives. Thanks for checking on the info packet for me. Appreciate the help. I've assembled some photos and info documenting the restoration and will probably post them soon if you are interested.
