Hi Guys

I am new to the forum (Thanks Les) and will try to pitch it where I can with my limited knowledge. I do have a question to get me started :-)

We bought a Trojan 440 at the back end of last season which has the Cummins 6CTA 450 Diamond Series Engines installed. I'm getting ready to do the Oil change before we start the season and I wanted to hear from you which oil you prefer and has given you the best performance over the years.

Many Diesel owners prefer Rotella T. It comes in multi viscosity and straight weight.

owners manualst are very informative
 
I have the same motors in the same boat, I use Rotella.

If it hasn't been done, you should clean your aftercoolers.
 
I'm starting to think there might be more Trojan 440s on this sight then any other boat? Seems odd to me! This said they are great boats.

Thank you, I really appreciate your help. Owners manuals are one thing but I really like to draw on the experience of fellow owners.

Now to look at cleaning the aftercoolers :-)
