Just bought the boat and have a question regarding hot water. I can't seem to find anywhere to get the hot water tank to fill. Cold is good, hit not so
Much! Any help appreciated.

If it's like our Cruisers, the hot water tank fills from the cold water tank, not from a separate fill. Check that the tank is not bypassed, which would indicate the tank has a leak. Wasn't a survey done? Check with the surveyor; he/she should have checked the hot water system. Hy

Survey was done but boat was not de-winterized at survey time. reconnected the cold water but can't seem to find the trick for hot.

I'm thinking one of two things are happening first would be as mentioned above and the use a bypass kit to to winterize the heater simple fix look at the in and out lines there should be a small valve on each that needs to be turn a 1/4 turn each. The second possibility is even more simple and the tank is filling but the breaker for the heater is off or maybe you haven't hooked up the power to heat the water? There is likely a drain valve on the water heater if you open it for a moment you should get water coming out it so then the tank is full but it is not heating the water check the breaker or look for a reset on the heater. Most likely this is a simple correction!

I have looked everywhere for bypass can't see any. Tank has easy access and is empty. Drain valve is closed, tried letting pressure off to fill. It has to be something simple I am just missing or can't locate.

I suspect this is your problem: When winterized, the HW tank is drained & left open. Close drain valve and pressure relief valve. With water in cold tank, turn on pressure system. Hold open the pressure valve to let air out and water in. Continue until water comes out. All will be well! :)

Check to see if you have a check valve on the cold water feed to the heater. Make sure it is oriented in the right direction.
Just another Schnuk

If you have the power on for the water heater and the tank is empty then you have likely burned out the heating element.
