Have a 1990 Evinrude, 25 HP. Engine "lost power" intermittently during the first 4 trips this season. Would continue running, but ran the same at WOT as when throttle was at slow speed. Changed in-line filters and got fresh gas, but didn't see improvement. Last trip out, same problem, but engine stalled and now won't start. Have confirmed gas is getting to carb. Next, will check spark at plugs, but want to know if there is a way to check power packs if there is no spark at plug. If there is, and both power packs check okay, then what troubleshooting comes next? The coil? Thanks for your help.
