260 Shower Leak

Hey Guys…Just purchased a 99 260 sundancer. Love the boat! Quick question. I found a slight leak, which I think I have fixed by re-caulking, around the lower side wall of the shower around the drain in the floor. It was dripping into the bilge area under the shower. I could see it under the step access door in the bilge where the sump pump is. My question is, if that were to leak into the bilge area there, or the sump pump were to fail, would the water continue back to the main bilge by the engine for that bilge pump to pick it up? Or would it be contained there and cause a major problem.
