Came across this on ebay today. Check out item # 160654215573.

Don't know how it performs, but that's one hell of a custom job!

If it had a shower and a full size fridge, I'd be all over it. Makes me miss my old 2897.

I like the custom cockpit a lot. I think Carver and other boat makers could learn a lot from it.

It says it was a $23,000 custom job 3 years ago, now you can buy the whole boat for $19,000. Sounds to me like the guy should have saved him money for a different project. :D

Very nice, but it looks like a stretched 28 ft voyager, rather than a mariner.

Nice design and workmanship, but I can't imagine spending that kind of money on a project more costly that the value of the boat. I guess if you really love the boat and have money to burn...

Judging by how low the boat sits in the stern it doesn't appear that a great deal of consideration was given to the effect of all the added weight aft. With 230hp Mercs the boat now seems underpowered. Reference to 30" trim tabs noted.

The sliding backrest on the aft settee is pretty cool. Not a serious fishing cockpit, but definitely a fun one!

Nope, it's a Mariner. I can tell by the placement of the head and galley. Voyager has an aft galley and head.

Agree. There was a Nordin (pro: Nor 'deen) in Jax when I was there in the mid 80's. I believe they have since gone under.

The name of the boat was Slayer. The transom was open back as in a racing sloop with similar amenities as the Carver. Until one figured it out, the boat looked as if it should sink.

I've never seen anything like it since.
