Guys - I was reviewing the boattest.com review of the 3760 with twin Volvo gassers and I was amazed at the results. The boat was getting well over 1 mpg at cruise and top speed was mid-50s mph. Could this be right? If not, does anyone know what the real numbers are?

If so, how can this boat so dramatically outperform the Sea Ray, Cruisers and Formula boats in its class? If it is design related, does this performance edge go back to the early-mid 2000 boats or just the new ones?

Here are Regals numbers on that boat. http://wake-n-waves.com/pdfs/regal-3760-2007.pdf

The fuel burn at cruise is pretty good, with 1+mpg a reality. The mid 50's is "optimistic" IMHO. Lower 50's is doable.

On another note, prior to 2007 that boat was known as the 3560. Somehow it grew an extra 2 feet this year, but it is the same boat. Might help explain the numbers a bit.

The test figures are pretty accurate for the outdrive versions of the 3760, the V-drive version would be more in line with the Sea Ray, Cruisers, etc. boats.

#'s are verey close a little high ocean trak hull has less dead rise than sea ray and formula.
