Hi,
Question here about 3m 5200 on a 36 gallon fuel tank. Tank is completly tar epoxied by the way. I was suggested to use GE II silicone on the bottom of the tank first. 1/4 inch high and maybe 3 or 4 beads down the length of the tank. This would be to lift it up. Tank is 60 inches long and 15 inches wide. Let it dry completely. Then was told to put globs of 5200 on each of the corners and maybe a glob on each side of the tank also then set it in place. Was told this was the new way of installing tanks and not have to use foam. Any thoughts on this? Thanks
