It's a double rocker switch and when I click it once nothing happens. What is it supposed to do on the 1st click? When I click all the forward(2nd position) bow lights and dash lights come on. I really have to hit the switch as it takes a couple tries for it to work(loose connection or a bad switch possibly)
 
First click will turn on the anchor light? (light on pole in starboard stern). Second click puts on NAV lights and dash. I replaced one switch with a third party replacement, and it fit fine, but the light is white, not blue.

Woops, brain fart hear. I just read your second post. However the replacement I used was from the manufaturer "BLUE SEA SYSTEMS" Contura type. BoatFix carries them and they are cheap.

A friend had a similar issue with his nav light. He got out the wiring schematics, compared it with the actual wiring and found that it was not wired properly from the factory. His boat was a 96 270 and it was shorting out in the anchor position. It would come on, but it was very weak. He played with the wires and got it working, but it had been like that for many years and the previous owner had never noticed it.
 
Thanks. I have to hit the switch w/ a little force right at the switch light for it to work. Bad switch ????? Where do I get a new switch?
