98 250 Sundancer onboard charger ?

I plugged in to shore power and how do I know if the onboard charger is working? Does it come on automatically? I looked at the Amps gauge and it didn't move.

If you are pluged into the shore power make sure the breaker in turned on inside of boat. If it is and you turned battery charger for the first 15min-1hour the guage should move after that the battery(s)is charged you will very little movement. But it will move. Try putting a volt meter on the postitive side of the battery and see what voltage it reads. Tell us more about your type of charge your boat has, this will help other help you.

I had to turn on the converter breaker on the panel. Works fine now.

We all have been there. Its always good to start with basics first. Cheap fix too
