Had issues with the AC this weekend. The seawater pump would come on but ran very loud. It would pump water for a while then quick and spit out a little more water then stop then run, etc. etc. etc.
I thought I would take the pump off and search for a new pump over the next couple of weeks. What I didn't expect was for the pump to have a sold wire running back to I assume the AC unit. I thought the pump would have simple wire connections for + and -. As a result I did not remove the pump but did take it apart to check the impellor. It was intact but I wondered is the magnets in inside the motor are wearing out.
Anyway does anyone know if a Cruisair seawater pump can be rebuilt? Or do they need replaced. Also where would the wiring go from the pump to the AC unit?
