i left the air on for 2 nights and when i returned to marina there was barely any air coming from the vents. i removed the filters , stuck my hands in the vent and felt ice. im hoping it will be fine after the system thaws out.
has this ever happend to anyone else and will it be fine after it thaws?

How low did u have the a/c t stat set ??
Also is ur a/c air filter clean?

That has happened to me on very humid days with the cabin door open.

Your AC needs to cycle on and off or it will freeze, you must have the control set too cold, the AC can't attain that temperature, keeps running and freezes.

Let it thaw and it will work fine. Next time, set the temp warmer so it will cycle off and not freeze.

---check where the temp sencer is located. Sometimes moving it helps. It is round about two inches long at the end of a flat wire. The CruseAire man moved mine and it made a big difference. Call MarineAir or C. and their tech people should be able to suggest some options.

If you don't get enough air flow through the system it will cause it to freeze up... so don't block the air intake, or the discharge vents...

also, be sure to check to make sure that you have good (sea) water flow through the unit... if that would happen to be restricted, it could also cause it to freeze up.

Clean the screens on the compressor, vaccum out the fins (carefully) and take off and remove and clean the cheesy filter cover.

Works all the time.

This is a normal maintance procedure for us.
