Frank from AMC is awesome. Had some work done. Perfect as usual. Why anyone would use anyone else is beyond me. The mans an perfectionist !

Ive used Frank for years. I recently had him come out and quote a job. I needed a front piece made up for my center console,with a U cut out. He was $700 higher then 4 other companies...
 
Couldn't agree more with Rob. Had Frank do a bimini top and mooring cover for my 33 express.
It lasted 13 years!!! Some restitching and zippers needed to be replaced from storms and use.
At times Frank did work for no charge. Had it replaced by him last year.
 
AMC is pretty good at not nickel and diming you for small stuff if you are a customer. What I think is best about AMC, is their service, well after a job is done and paid for, they respond to problems as if it was a new job. Great service!
 
I have had them quote jobs for me three times. Went with B&R in Freeport each time as AMC was no less. Last time they were the same on the canvas and since they don't do upholstery I did not use them. on a big job on the Viking his quote was a little weird so I took a pass.
 
I used Automat in Hicksville for a cockpit cover, $1000 later and the snaps don't line up, he doesn't answer emails either. Now I got a lose fitting POS...
 
My mother in laws marina brought her canvas to Javier in Freeport. 4 months later they are still working on it . She went to go get it and he promised it would be ready the following Monday..... 2 weeks later still not ready ....

Why do people tolerate this ?

There is a canvas guy in the AYC, True Blue? Trevor? . I am told his work is outstanding, problem is it is a small shop and he promises everyone but only delievers ontime to the big profitable jobs. What I like about Tony (AMC) is not so much his work. To clarify, his work for what he charges is great and more than satisfactory. But more or equally important, what seperates him from other shops is when he promises something, he keeps his promise. Also, if you have a problem, he is johnny on the spot to look at it and just as quick to resolve it. He does this way after the original purchase. Personally, I think he is very smart to be like this, canvas eventually needs replacing, his client buy different boats that needs new canvas, and lastly, he gets recommended all over from guys like us. He was reccomended to me 12 years ago and I am sure in that 12 years I have rcommended him to dozens of people. I bet Don recommended him to me.
 
Yeppers, I tore my shower curtain sunday am. : )

Monday I called searay to find the supplier. They went out of business. So I Called Frank rb2@gr5t AMC. Needless to say I have the bomb of shower curtains. All sewn edges and re-enforced. Blown away. They have made everything for me . Electric line set covers , Cockpit TV cover. lawn furniture and Barbeque covers. The guys awesome !

AMC has been fantastic for my canvas needs both big and small. I've found their prices to be in line with others, but more importantly, their work is good, turnaround is pretty quick, and they always have it done when they say it will be done.
I've found there are a lot of good boat related service providers out there as far as quality of work go, but 90% rarely deliver when they say they will. When you find one that does good work, and delivers on time, it pays to stick with them.
 
Shower Curtain, what is that? Seriously, you still living in Wyandanch?
 
What would I be looking at price wise to replace the eisenglass on my flyfridge? All the canvas is good just needs new glass. Any ideas?
 
$150 to $200 a piece depending on size.
Use strata. Cost is a little more.
