Anchor snubbers

I ve tried a number of chain hooks over the years from fancy SS models to cheap galvanized hook and none ever worked very well. Either hard to release, or would drop off the chain during the night or bend under load.

Then I got this:

So far it has worked flawlessly for the last four weeks, anchoring almost every day. I thought it may be hard to release but it comes if the chain easily, even after a couple of days in a blow. And an 84 foot skylounge boat can really pull on a 176 lbs anchor

I was concerned that would be difficult to remove also, good to hear it's not. Mantus makes some great products. Did you try their chain hook? I'm wondering why you chose the pendant over the hook.

I ve had issues with chain hooks before, either they don’t stay on or they jam. Didn’t try theirs. I like the simplicity of that pendant.
